About Yogi Veer

Personal Journey
I was born in Himalayas in Nepal and when I was 12 years old I traveled to India and moved into Ramana’s Garden Children’s Home in Rishikesh, where I grew up. It was here that I first began practicing yoga and developed a deep love for the tradition. When I was 21 years old I decided to make yoga my full time career and began my first 500hr yoga teacher training course at Yoga Hut in Rishikesh, with a focus on Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga. I have since gone on to train as a teacher in laughing yoga, pranayama and meditation.
Upon completing my training I started my own yoga business “Veer Shanti Yoga” and have since been working full time as a freelance yoga teacher for a number of yoga schools and hotels.
In my yoga classes I like to teach a combination Hatha and Vinyas Flow yoga, giving special attention to the students specific needs. I focus on alignment and assist the students with gentle adjustments. There is always a component of pranayama and mediation in my classes and I aim to make them an enjoyable balance of light hearted fun and serious internal practice.
